Description

During Milton's 150 year celebration, the Sesquicentennial Belles (Sesqui Belles) were incorporated in many events. Women wore long dresses, bonnets, and garters with bells on them for the parade.

In April, some Milton women made the vow not to wear makeup until Sesquicentennial Week in June. Those who did not make the pledge were required to wear a button as their 'cosmetic permit'.
